Chapter 1: Kelly Middle School
Ouch! Smash! Scream! – Those were the sounds of free period. Free period was not free period at Kelly Middle School.
Kelly Middle School is located in Washington just 4.3 miles away from the White House. It is one of the best schools to go in the United States. Ten years in a row it has been a blue ribbon school.
Free Period was bully time!!Everyone wished they could be sick and not come to school at all .Although you and I have been bullied- this was much more dangerous .All students go to free period right after gym. That was when the bullies liked it best. They toughen up, their muscles are humungous. Also if you are wondering who the bullies are then their names are Joey and Ben.
Yes I have been bullied by them but let me tell you about a boy who did something tremendous.
Chapter 2 Anthony
Anthony Reverez just moved in to Washington DC from New York, on Saturday morning on July4th. He muttered “why couldn’t I just stay back in New York with grandma? L” But like always his parents said – “you will enjoy this school more – we promise.” But he knew better- and he thought –“no I won’t!’’ …
Anthony went to school at 8 AM. When he entered the new school it looked exactly like his old school .That’s what made Anthony almost cry. Because he knew the similarity ended at that. But he consoled himself that like before he would start liking this new school in a few weeks of time.
But he was wrong….it might take him a few months.
(I said it “might”…
Also I forgot to tell you that Anthony is in 7th grade and Joey and Ben are in the 8th grade. HINT: keep that in mind.)
Chapter 3. Anthony meets Joey and Ben
As Anthony was walking towards his class- he passed the 8th grade hallway. He saw two suspicious boys outside one of the doors. They had an unusual smile on their faces- it didn’t look like a mean smile but not a friendly one either. As soon as Anthony got closer to them they asked him- “have you met the school jocks?” They continued – ‘jocks as in the cool tough people of the school….these people even control the principal’ –he he he , they continued…..
‘And the biggest jocks are standing in front of you- ha ha ha”!!!
That got Anthony completely confused because there was an adult standing in front of him as well…So he whispered pointing to the adult – “is that adult the jock?”This question left Joey and Ben dumbfounded…
So, then they moved to the other side of the aisle and pointing to their side they said – “The jocks are here.” Anthony looked at them totally confused because there was a second grader little boy standing on that side. And so he asked- “You mean that second grader is bossing everyone?” This made Joey and Ben –you guessed it dumbfounded them again!!
So for the next few minutes they repeated in many ways that they were the jocks but Anthony could not understand …Finally they exclaimed with anger – “you dumb nerd– we are the bullies-or jocks!!”
“You should have told this a long time ago- said Anthony with a big grin on his face. “Plus then I could do this”- and he ran as fast as he could…
Ben and Joey were totally confused- Ben asked Joey-“is this dude afraid of us?”
“Dude! I don’t know” Shouted Joey!
Chapter 4: JOEY AND Ben
Joey and Ben returned from school and went home to show their report cards-which their parents did not have to check because they always had straight A’s! But they didn’t get them because they studied-hard .oh no,no,no! That would be crazy!!! They never studied a word! They got A’s because they bullied all the teachers [including the principal, which got them into the gifted class too!] So after they showed their report cards Ben asked his Mom and Dad that,” Can I go to Joey’s house?” To his relief, they said,” Of course you may.”
Also they did not know that Ben and Joey were those weird, freaky, good-for-nothing, bullies! Ben went to Joey’s house, and Joey told his mother that Ben and he are going to be in his room working for the Science Project.
Oh yes that was a lie!
And he motioned Ben to come up to his room and whispered- “I have a plan.”
Chapter 5 : The Plan
Ben asked – “what type of plan?”
Joey said- “A plan to show Anthony Reverez as to who is the Boss!”
Joey explained the plan and said ‘First we treat him like a friend, and then we will get a string to trip him.” That is the first trick we will use on him – Got that?
Ben nodded in agreement and asked “when do we start the plan
At School of course – Ben said…
Ben nodded.
Joe’s mother called out “dinner time!” and their conversation got interrupted...
They both went downstairs to have dinner and watch a movie. Joe was totally unfocussed; his mind was just getting the plan together to trap Anthony.
Chapter6: Anthony makes a friend
David Marcus is also in the 7th grade. Dave lived only one block away from Anthony. He was the smartest kid in his class, besides Anthony. Also they both liked the same TV show, and the same food. They both had many things in common. So when they met in the weekend they became friends instantly. On Saturday Anthony called David for a sleepover to his home and it was one of the most fun sleepovers Anthony had ever had.
They played ‘the forest of doom’ on Xbox- Anthony had fun fighting the skeletons and zombies with his partner Dave. They also told each other funny, scary stories while eating some roasted marshmallows…Anthony’s mom asked if they wanted pizza for dinner and both of them shouted – “YES!”
After having a good dinner of pizza and coke they watched “Spiderman 3” which also turned out to be Dave’s favorite movie.
By the time they hit their sleeping bags it was 1AM!!!
In the morning actually just before noon when they woke up Anthony shared a secret with Dave…
Chapter 7: Another Plan
Dave asked – ‘why do you need a plan? You could stand up to them and you almost made them run away the last time you stood up to them – remember?”
They are real tough and I am their main goal. They would do anything to scare me so a plan is needed
You know how a light bulb pops above cartoons head when he has a bright idea – well that’s what happened to Dave, infect his idea was so bright it could have blinded Anthony’s eyes!!! He thought of exactly the same plan as Joe except there was an extension to it.
He told the idea to Anthony and Anthony was excited. Now nothing mattered –they just wanted to put their plan into action. They couldn’t wait to scare Joe.
To readers: I am sorry but we must pause for a minute here. Are you confused about my story right now? If you are then let me explain to you- Joey had a plan to scare Anthony and Dave and Anthony had a plan to show Ben and Joey who was the boss. Now do you get it? Well if you do then “Play!”
Chapter 8: Both plans into action
Joey and Anthony became friends as planned. It was hard at first because they disliked each other. They tried really hard to be nice to each other and before they knew they became good friends. A couple of days later Joey went into second gear. Joe was making everybody laugh at Anthony by making him look silly. He cracked jokes at Anthony and soon everybody was laughing at Tony.
Now Tony knew it was time to hit second gear as well. Tony asked Dave to ask his friends to joke about Joey. Dave was amazing at cracking jokes. He made great jokes especially when he piggy backs from original jokes. Anthony told some jokes to Joe about Joey himself. That starts confusing Joey because Anthony never spoke like that.
Then Joey told Ben – Hey Ben – He is a lot like us- so instead of only two bullies there could be three of us!”
But what Joey did not know is that Anthony was listening to Joey. Anthony went home that day and told his parents about Joey. His parents were upset. They went and told the principal. The Principal called in Joe’s parents and told them what had happened. Joey’s parents felt ashamed and furious. They told Joey what the principal had said. They asked him a bunch of questions- questions like ‘would you want to hurt someone?’
Does making trouble for someone make you feel superior?’
Would you want someone to treat you like that?’
How long have you been doing this?
And Joey answered – “No! No! No! No to all your questions. I have not been doing this.
Okay Joey if you have not been doing this good – but if you are then you better stop because bullying is a serious offence and you could be expelled from school for doing this. And young man we are keeping an eye on you!
That made Joey terrified for the first time in his life.
The principal was friends with the Secretary of United States. She told the story to her. The Secretary of United States would never let bullying happen in any school. She in turn goes to tell the Vice President of United States of this incident. The Vice President of United States goes to Kelly Middle School on the following Wednesday to applaud the principal and also sends a message to every school in United states – “Please take action against bullying immediately.”
A couple weeks after this the Vice President of United States calls Joey and Anthony to her office.
She says looking at Anthony- “you may enjoy this a little bit”
The Vice President turn to Joey – “I am glad you have quit bullying now – because I have passed a law against bullying – that kids who are found bullying will be expelled.”
She turns to Anthony and says that you, young man have done a great job. I hope you never get bullied and it was a good thing you told your
Parents and the Principal about it. The best part of this visit was Anthony got an unlimited supply of comic books for a year!
Chapter 9 Amazing Anthony
Anthony is 30 now. His kid is called Tony Jr. When Tony Jr starts kindergarten – Anthony senior told his school story to his son and Tony Jr in turn shares his dad’s story with his classmates and teacher. Tony Jr becomes a very popular kid at school.
